The “braver” part was actually the thing I was trying most to convey. I know I’m not nearly brave enough to not keep doing this whole lawyering thing (which I really do enjoy, by and large, to be sure), but the fact that she was smart enough to know what she actually enjoyed, and would be good at, and kinda sorta gave up a “sure thing” (whatever that means) to strike it out on her own and be successful… that seems really smart to me!
But purely intellectually. And aspirationally. ‘Cause I am WAY to much of a coward. But hopefully smart enough to counsel my fellow smart friends to try to be smart in that way, too. Even if I couldn’t/can’t.
